The rally in 100 words: Using all-asphalt stages in northern Portugal, Rally Fafe Montelongo joined the ERC for the first time to host round three of the season. Part of the Campeonato Portugal de Ralis Clássicos and Campeonato Norte Ralis, the event featured a mix of fast sweeps and tight hairpin turns on smooth, undulating Tarmac roads. Based in Fafe, a town with a rich rallying heritage, the event headquarters were located in the Pavilhão Multiusos with the service park located in the town’s market area. There was no spectator access to the service park or special stages in response to the local COVID-19 protocols.

1: Prior to Rally Fafe Montelongo joining the ERC schedule for 2020, not since Rallye Rota do Vidro – Centro de Portugal in 2003 had a round of the championship taken place on mainland Portugal.
2: While there has never been a Portuguese ERC champion, Bruno Magalhães came close in 2017 when he finished runner-up.
